A Sexy Way to Use Dry Ice...

Passion Fruit Martini Yummy Goodness!!!!

According to my favorite source of info, The Wiki, When dry ice is placed in water sublimation is accelerated, and low-sinking, dense clouds of smoke-like fog are created. I don't recommend using this on your own... save it to the professionals!!!

Getting Back to My Roots...

So....this time I'm not talking about my hair... LOL. I am talking about my eyes!!! We all are AFRICAN and based on scientific research/evidence mixed with thoughtful reasoning based apparently human beings were thriving over 4000 years ago... looks like we are all from Egypt... but you already know this right??? I like to celebrate my ancestory (and yours too) with my eyes...
I can remember being in middle school learning and reading and thinking... when I sneak my mom's eyeliner pencil stubs and put it on before she gets home from work... my eyes look like the Goddesses in the pictures. Now that I am grown and I have my own eyeliners... I can reconnect with my roots!!! Fashion is passed down from generation to generation so let me fall in line with tradition. One way I celebrate my roots is when I use a combination of Liquid Eyeliner and Retractable Eyeliner to create the look. I compliment the lines by filling my eyelids in with my shadow choice of the evening.

How does it look in pictures though... you may ask??? See for yourself...

Not as over the top huh???

Key Accessories for the eye look:
- Mac Cosmetics
- Wet and Wild (your local Walgreens/CVS)
- Shea Butter (keeps my eyes as youthful as a 7 year old- your local shea butter man)

I don't know about you, but I cannot stand the cold weather... however since I haven't moved to my mansion in Miami yet, I've got to deal with the cold... yet again. Luckily, I adore Fall and Winter Fashion!!! From the scarf varieties to the sexy gloves, winter is THE season a real fashionista look forward to. Afterall, you can wear the most and show off! LOL... While the winter accessories are fabulous to rock... nothing signifies a woman better than her boot... or bootie! (wink wink ya'll)

Turning a plane ol' Jane of a bootie into a Style Contender. Leg Warmers with the Wedge Bootie... A HIT!

Playing favorites is not my pastime so when it comes to boots and booties I don't discriminate. Can the church say Amen? The Mosque say Amina? The crowd say... OOWWW? I'm sure you all can agree... more styles = more smiles!!!

Take a peek at what's hot this season that I HAD to make mine. Some are oldies, but goodies (Love that Samantha). Some are new treasures in my treasure box. One thing I will say is... I am a classic shopper...
most of the time. But sometimes... YOU HAVE TO LIVE A LITTLE! RIGHT???
(Channeling my Inner-Snowbunnie)

Fashionistas, its important that you treat your shoe game like your stock game. Think of your shoe jewels as you would with your investment portfolio. While its important to explore an aggressive, risky approach at times (i.e. fuchsia c.f.m. boots), diversifying your boot portfolio with a classic that will never loose style value (i.e. classic brown riding boots) is a necessity.

What do you think of some of the jewels in my treasure chest? Send me a pic of your boot or bootie favorite! I'm picking my favorites that you send in and sharing with fellow Fashionistas.... so show me whatcha got!!!

Summer Pick "The Leotard" Last All Fall Long!!!

It seems like everyone loves the leotard look... but ladies are afraid to pull it off. Why? Too explosive for regular wear??? Possibly... However let me show you how you can do it!

If you consider yourself to be a bit of a fashion icon in your own right, I don't recommend this often, but Gaga got this look TOGETHER in a major way. She nailed it with this one... I thought she was kinda pretty here too... but maybe 'cause her face is covered??? Let me stop...

Many powerhouse female artist are quick to put on a leotard to wow their audiences... as you can see. Honestly, I'm sure they wear it because it's pretty darn comfy to entertain in... And it keeps your body temperature cool...shhhh!

TOPSHOP!!!! Yep this look is not futuristic in the least! Big Ups to Top Shop for keeping beauty queens like Miss Halle flyyyyyy.... even when she was just a little beauty queen in Ohio!

I decided to prove my point finally... you don't have to be an entertainer, beauty queen, or gymnast for that matter to ROCK the leotard look! It can be transitioned into everyday (or at least every weekend) wear. Wear it with leggings and belt and it is always a win. Not complicated ladies! Now...I don't recommend this particular look if you've got excessive stomach weight... I'm just being honest. However, you don't have to be a stick figure to pull it off. Clearly, I am not! LOL!

THE NEW LITTLE BLACK DRESS?

It is still a mystery as to who started this fashion phenomenon of the little black dress, even though rumor has it that Coco Chanel is the culprit. The fashion world was properly introduced to "THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS" by actress Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys in 1961 and since then 'The Little Black dress' has swamped the world.

In our generation, what simple style can you say have been discovered and might be a must have for every female? The fitting white T-shirt comes to mind for me. Valerie Steele the director of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City state said that the little black dress is and I quote "A little black dress is so ubiquitous, it's an iconic thing," does the white tee fit that description?

A white T-shirt is ubiquitous but is it an iconic thing? I highly doubt it but with the white T-shirt, you can throw it on in an emergency just like the little black dress. There are so many different ways to wear the white T-shirt.

You can be like Kelly Rowland and make it as simple as possible, throw it on over a nice pair of jeans and add some bad pair of pumps and off you go.

Or

You can be do more with it like Laura Ellner founder of ontheracks.com: Her blazer made the look more professor and actually looks like she put effort into the outfit.

Or

You can be like my all time favorite Kim Kardashian:Tuck it inside a beautiful formfitting skirt, which gives the T-shirt an illusion of a blouse

Is White T-shirt the New Black Dress? Definitely not because trends like this are just that 'a trend'. But for now enjoy this lazy, effortless look because I doubt its here to stay.

Fall is COMING SOON: Will the Biker Look make it?

And just like that fall is slowing approaching, but the question remains...What items will make a come back this season?

One of the items that is in every fashionistas closet is the Rough Biker look which was a favourite of ours last season. Throwing on a weathered Biker jacket added a sponky, rebel and irresistible look that completed every outfit. Are these j ackets making a season premier this fall or did they already make a series finale ?

I say get out your feather dusters, open your closet and dust off your jacket because these babies are here to stay.
